In addition to the bets made on groups of numbers as they appear on the roulette table, there are special bets that cover certain groups of numbers as they are at the roulette wheel. These bets do not appear at all casinos and are offered only at European roulette, still some halls have them.
This bet includes the "neighbors of zero" that lie between the numbers 22 and 25 on the wheel (22,18,29,7,28,12,35,3,26,0,32,15,19,4,21,2,25).
This bet requires 9 chips (as 2 are placed on 0, 2, 3; 1 goes to the split 4/7; 1 is on 12/15; 1 on 19/22; 2 chips on corner bet 25/26/28/29 and 1 on split 32/35).
This bet is on the numbers from 27-33 on the roulette wheel (27,13,36,11,30,8,23,10,5,24,16,33) ("the third"). Player bets 6 chips (1 chip per splits: 5/8; 10/11; 13/16; 23/24; 27/30; 33/36).
There is another variant of this bet, which is called "Tier 5,8,10,11". This time besides the 6 chips placed on the splits, player places extra chips straight up on 5, 8, 10 and 11; which makes it a 10-chip bet.
This bet which means the "orphans" covers the numbers which were not incuded in the Tiers and Voisins bets. This bet includes 8 numbers three of which are the Orphans (17, 34, 6) and the Orphelins (1,20,14,31,9).
Player bets 5 chips, 4 of which on the splits - 6/9; 14/17; 17/20 and 31/34 and one straight up on 1.
The “xx” in the name of this bet stand for the number the player chooses to bet on, while the “neighbors” include 2 numbers on either side of the chosen number which makes it a 5 number bet. This bet may include not only 5, but even more numbers.
